About Fish Hoek 100 & Beyond

Fish Hoek 100 and Beyond (a non profit organisation) was established by a group of volunteers  from business and community members in Fish Hoek.

We are committed to ensuring that the centenary is celebrated, creating an inclusive legacy and supporting real development of the community. We are excited about the opportunities offered by the Fish Hoek Centenary to build into the future.

We arrange and facilitate a variety of events. These include the following:

  • Signature events organised by the committee and all proceeds go towards the FH100&Beyond Fund
  • Supported events organised by third parties with a portion of the proceeds going towards the FH100&Beyond Fund
  • Attended events supported and promoted by FH100&Beyond where none of the proceeds  go towards the FH100&Beyond Fund

Our Projects are focused around:

  • Beautification of the Fish Hoek Train Station area
  • Greening of Fish Hoek
  • Revamping the Fish Hoek Main Road
  • Boosting security in Fish Hoek using technology
  • Research options in setting up a new homeless shelter

None of the above will be possible without volunteers and funding, so we are appealing to you to assist us in moving forward with these ambitious plans to make Fish Hoek a safer, secure and number 1 tourist destination.

The Constitution

The Constitution of the Fish Hoek 100 and Beyond was formally recognized and signed by a steering committee in 2018. The committee are all voluntary members who have taken the move to celebrate the 100th milestone of the Fish Hoek area and surrounds. In addition, it aims to engage further community development, increase business and tourism prospects and promote general upliftment of the area.

The Association is a non-profit organisation established for one or more of the following public benefit objectives:
2.1 to promote all manner of business, community projects, building, infrastructure of Fish Hoek and the surrounds;
2.2 to create awareness for a sustainable social, environmental and business future for the region, ensuring inclusivity and building social cohesion;
2.3 to raise funds for certain designated projects and serve the needs of the local community;
2.4 to provide an overarching structure with a definitive brand which is incorporated into various signature events and activities;
2.5 to maximise the marketability of the Fish Hoek area and promote tourism;
2.6 to uphold and fulfil the objects of the public or common good.
