To collect and collate information concerning the history of the Fish Hoek Valley and surrounding areas;
To collect, collate and preserve documents, plans, maps, photographs, books, newspapers, and other records concerning the history of the Fish Hoek Valley and surrounding areas; and
To collect, collate and exhibit objects of any kind and in any way connected with the Fish Hoek Valley and surrounding areas.
Fish Hoek Valley and surrounding areas means the area within the boundary from Glencairn Quarry northwards to Trappieskop, Kalk Bay to Chapman’s Peak so as to include Clovelley and Noordhoek, then southwards along the Atlantic Coast past Kommetjie, Scarborough to the northwest corner of the Cape Point Nature Reserve, then eastwards along the Reserve’s northern boundary to the intersection of Red Hill Drive and Main Road at Perdekloof, then northwards along the western boundary of Simonstown to its northwest corner so as to exclude Simonstown, Glencairn and Da Gama Park, then eastwards along the Brakkloof/Elsies Peak Ridge to Glencairn Quarry.
We rely totally on donations from visitors and friends to keep the doors open and cover the running costs of the Fish Hoek Valley Museum.
